I think there are some names for specialists in your area, in the list on this board. Also, I will check on some information I have.

If you're dozing while driving, maybe you should check to make sure you don't have Narcolepsy. It should be known by every doctor. You might want to do a search and see if the symptom's from this match any you're describing.

You're not crazy..there is something wrong.

    Take care,

    Welcome to the board.

There are several boards at this site. See the menu in the upper left hand corner next to the board rules. The most active boards are the Chronic Fatigue/Fibro board and the Chit Chat board.

You posted on the right board.

If you have the time and energy, you can check out the Research Library
above. It is my understanding that our problems do not show up on the
standard tests that doctors order. I read they show up on other tests
    which are, of course, expensive.

The was an article a few years ago about abnormal proteins showing up
in the spinal fluid of CFS patients.

The Chit chat board focuses on non-medical topics like kids, music, pets, gardening, etc. Provides some social life for those of us who don't get out much.

    Good luck

There aren't that many docs who truly understand our illnesses. The most difficult thing is trying to get a diagnosis as our illnesses mimic many others. There are no magic bullets, and no one treatment works for everyone, but over time, with trial and error, most of us eventually find things which help us. Almost everything which has helped me is something I first learned of here.

Best of luck to you. BTW, no, you are not lazy. We suffer not only crushing exhaustion but also guilt for not being able to do what we once could. We don't need arrogant docs treating us as malingerers. These docs should be kicked to the curb and better ones found. Arm yourself with knowledge so you can be an equal partner in your own healthcare. Good luck to you.

    Love, Mikie
