Came across an interesting website today about cliches.
Cliche of the day for Jan29 2007 is:

    That's water under the bridge.

Explanation; That is done or passed and should not be considered again.

    Yesterday's was:Fickle finger of fate

Explanation;Things happen that you cannot control.

Thursday's was & this is especially for all us Fibro/CFS sufferers:
    Catching some ZZZ's

    Explanation; Sleeping.

I thought of some cliches that make me smile.

My Mom used to always say, "You are making a mountain out of a molehill". Meaning, you are making the problem bigger than it is.

My kids are "backseat driver's", always leaning over my seat telling me to honk or turn! :)

"Assbackwards" meaning doing something in the wrong order, or completely messing up a task. My husband does this at times when he refuses to read the directions! Lol!! Kim :)

And my daughters' favorite, "I can't ride two horses with one ass."

Yes Kim,it is a very pleasant evening over here in "sunny" Glasgow. We had a very surprising temp of 50F over here today, very pleasant indeed for this time of year, but I'm sure its unable to keep up with the sunkist temps of the So. Californian vineyards, lol.
Another one I like to use:
Scraping the bottom of the barrel,
no explanation required for this one, haha.

As the pic in your profile says:
"banging your head against a brick wall"

Sometimes thats what it feels like with these DD's.
