    I recently located a cfids dr. and was tested for a variety of things. My results are as follows:

    1. Chronically active (Igm) Epstein Barr and HHV-6 viruses;
    2. Chronically active mycoplasma;
    3. upregulated nk cell activity; and
    4. "off the charts" low ATP. My ATP measurement is .3 Normal is between 8 and 11. .3 is the lowest a lab will give to the physician.

    I started antibiotic treatment and my first glutathione injection on Friday.

    Has anyone had any success with antibiotics or glutathione or anything else in dealing with these specific pathogens and problems?

    Congrats on finding a doc. I have yet to find one myself. How did you find one? If you don't mind me asking, did you see a specialist? Or did your primary doctor diagnose you?

    Wow! Lots going on (or not going on). Congrats for finding a good doc. Now, at least, you can treat your problems. Do a search on mycoplasmas and you can bring up all the posts on them. Or, do a search on antibiotic and it will bring up all the posts on the antibiotic treatment. There are a few of us on the antibiotic treatmen, including me, but I am weaning off my antibiotics now.

    Love, Mikie

    Hi All. Thanks for the replies. First, I found a doctor in my area online. I can't remember exactly where, but it was a doc locator. I'll try to find it.

    Mikie, have you noticed any difference from taking the antibiotics? How long have you been taking them? Why are you weaning off?

    Jelly, I read your response to my lengthy previous post. Thanks! I've been busy trying to figure out all my problems etc. Now, I'm moving on to stage two - - beginning treatment.

    All the mycoplasma articles essentially seem to address one thing: long term antibiotic treatment. This is what led to my initial query of whether this treatment had proved to be effective for anyone here.

    Jelly, how long have you been taking the glutathione? Are you taking injections? Have you noticed any difference in the way you feel?

    glad to hear you're finding out whats wrong. watch out for the antibiotics!!! they can do more damage than good.

    check out he book or info by dr. majid ali. he writes about batterd bowell ecology from antibiotics and how you will still have the myco, etc. after the last antibiotic pill is consumed. you will end up sicker from the anitbiotics.

    look into alternatives such as organic coconut oil (non-hydrogenated!!), olive leaf extract, garlic, etc.
    thats the route i'm taking.

    good luck!

    Seans, I reviewed past tests and I know that I have antibodies for Epstein Barr, Parvo virus and some of the lyme. How do you know if they are active? Is it a number or a specific test? All these different tests confuse me at times. For example, my doctor has been been telling me that my thyroid is fine, but now I've discovered that the general thyroid tests tell you nothing, that you need more specific tests. Now if I can find out what exact tests to request, I be much better off. Good luck, I'll be following your progress with interest.

    Wendy: There are specific tests that show elevated IGM rather than IGG antibodies. These elevated IGM antibodies show the viruses and mycoplasma are "chronically active."

    Jelly, how long have you been using the glutathione? Is it injection form? ONce a week? How long have you been on the antibiotics? Which one(s)? Have you noticed any difference at all? What are your clinical findings, i.e. viruses, mycoplasmas etc?

    Why are you getting off the abx?

    Jelly, keep taking the whey. It's important. the arginine will not exert it's independent virus enhancing properties overly much when it is consumed in the presence of other aminos. Just make sure you eat some other proteins when you take your whey. They will become branched aminos with the other aminos and you won't have to worry about it. You could also take the amino lysine to counter the arginine.

    Keep taking the whey. Make sure it is a high quality undenatured whey.

    Sorry Jelly, I must have missed your other post. I am also on the doxy, but just started. How long before you started herxing?

    The glutathione, from what I've read, seems crucial to so many important immune processes. It's supposed to be an immune modulator, help with atp production and have some anti-viral capabilities.

    How long have you been using the doxy? Have "your numbers" gone down with respect to the mycos?

    Wendy, you really need to get your doctor to refer you to a cfids/fms doctor. These other doctors are basically worthless to us. Doctors who can help can be found on the web. Others here can point you to doc finders. Where do you live?

    I'm sorry, I just don't know the name of the specific tests. However, you need specific tests to identify likely viruses and mycoplasmas.

    try to go to this greatsmokies laboratories website to see the tests they offer, or call them.
