I saw a version of this on my daily game show yesterday.

Take a word, find a song title that ENDS with the word, and then, a second song title that BEGINS with the same word.

    Example: "You've Got to Have .......... "

    ".......... and Soul "

    "White ..........."

    "............ in Killarney"

    HI GB!!!!

    I'm "confused" already. LOL

The lyrics are only for 2 sets of lyrics:

    For example:

You are my ......... (Answer: sunshine)
..... on my shoulders makes me happy

    Then another clue?
When you wish upon a ..... (Answer: star)
    ..... light, star bright

    Then another clue?

    HELP! I'm lost.

    Diane :)

    Hi Kids

Good work, GB. Diane, you're not lost. You're right on track.

Been off the computer all day. A T & T was sending us a new modem for some
reason. Was supposed to come yesterday. Finally got here at 8PM tonight.

Where the Blue of the Night (Bing's theme song).
    Night and Day.

    California, Here I Come.
Come Back, Paddy Reilly (Beautiful old Irish song.)

    Unchained Melody.
    Melody of Love.

The Green, Green Grass of Home.
    Home, Sweet Home.

    Heart Of My Heart.
    Heart Of My Heart.

The idea is to leave the word off and put in a BLANK. There are 2 songs involved in each puzzle, write as many puzzles as you wish!

Example: "You've Got to Have -----"

    "............ and Soul"

Then, we guess what the word is. (I just put n the word to show how it's done, in the first examples) I wish I could explain it better. :)

In other words, don't write the answers in, just leave blanks. Sorry to be so confusing. :( GB

    Hi Rock and GB!

Nope, GB, not confusing -- I just needed clarification.

We played a song game, a LOOOOONNNGG time ago on the chitchat board.
Sort of went something like this:
--I love you.... (next song line had to begin with YOU)
--You and I travel to the beat of a different drum; Oh can't you tell by the way I run
(next song verse had to begin with RUN)
Run to me whenever you're lonely (to love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older,
So darling, you run to me.

And the next song would have to begin with ME, etc. etc. etc.

That's what I thought you were doing! My misunderstanding! :)

    So, we'll start again.........................

    Diane ;)

PS: I'll try to think of a few, and post soon!

Right you are, Diane. Here's one especially for you.

There's A Pawnshop On the Corner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
    Pennsylvania Polka.

Pennsylvania is also the name of the state song. There are several
    versions on Youtube.

Guy Lombardo, the band leader associated with New Year's Eve was
from Canada. His younger brother Carmen was the composer of Boo
Hoo, one of their biggest hits. My Dad loved the Lombardo band and
the Lawrence Welk band. Whenever the band play Boo Hoo he told
me, "Carmen composed that, you know."
