At the doctor's last week, he gave my immune deficiency a "proper" name: common variable immune deficiency.

It is not rare to have abnormal values in immunoglobuins in your blood work, some folks still never get sick.

I on the other hand get sick a lot, therefore the testing and subsequent diagnosis.

It has been four months since I have gone without using antibiotics, so he is holding off on treating.

    Anyone else dx'd with this???

Yes, I think I have heard that before. I get sick all the time. If it isn't one thing its another.
    Hope you feel better.

Lisa, I also have Sjogren's, that was confirmed with a biopsy of the salivary glands.

The immune deficiency showed up in the blood work for IgM and IgG, etc.

Wondering if anyone has been treated.

How are you doing with regards to the Sjogren's?

Autoimmune is our immune system attaking self, sensing something is harmful, when it is not; and our bodies go into attack mode. Allergies are autoimmune responses.

My body cannot, does not, fight when it should, against infections.
