I am confused. I have been sick for 10 years w/cfs. Had a lyme test done and IGM is Positive even CDC positive but IGG is negative across the board. Why would this be if I have been sick for so long? I can see Igm being pos since the lyme comes out of hiding, but wouldnt my IGG be positive too?? Anyone know?

Chootiks post about How to Read a Western Blot. I moved it up so it will be easy to find. Hopefully it will help you. It is from a well respected Lyme doc.

Go to Lymenet.org. Do a search. It is common for IGM and IGG to go back and forth with Lyme

This is exactly what my result was!

For people who have had this for a while, this is common. You body is continuely trying to fight a present infection and sometimes doesn't even make the IGG titers, because it's busy fighting it still.

My doc saw my resutls and said I'm "clearly" positive, specially that I was CDC positive with the IGM as well.

So if you can go see a doc who knows about Lyme and started treating as soon as possible.

Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
