I have been using the cpap machine for sleep disorder about a month. It seems like my tmj pain has really been flared lately; especially in my neck and top shoulder muscles.

I am wondering if the muscles are flaring during the night when I am wearing the sleep mask because I am not used to wearing it or what?

    Any comments or suggestions?

and have no TMJ pain. I do grind my teeth terribly, so I use a mouth guard ( made by my dentist ). If I fall asleep without the guard I wake up with a sore tongue and jaw. I know that clenching my teeth causes tension and pain in my neck and shoulders. You may want to check into this.
    Good Luck, Mary
