I'm getting a CPAP machine tomorrow and have been told I will get a choice of a nose mask or face mask (UK).

Has anyone experience of them and what do you think is best.

    Much appreciated.

I have the mask fitting over the nose==no chin strap, though.

It is a blue gel type, but I just got a new one that is a clear, soft material.

Make sure that you get one that your insurance will pay for because I think if you get the mask together with the head strap, it costs about $250. At least that is what they bill the insurance company. Hard telling what it REALLY costs!

    Good luck with it!!

    Hugs,

My best fit was the mask over the nose. I tried the one with nasal "prongs" or whatever, and it was too uncomfortable for me. totally depends on each person. good luck. i don't mind mine at all, it's almost comforting when i put it on.

Thanks everyone for your advice, the nose maske will be my choice then.

I'm glad the cpap seems to be helping you, good luck with it sassy. I've heard you have to persevere.
