    I think laughter qualifies for a joyful noise!

    Some of us have been having a bit of fun lately with goofy posts. I alway like a good laugh! It's a nice distraction.

    Our real joy, comes from the Lord, and just like praise, and worship we can give joy back to Him.

    The word, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord", popped into my head.

    Ps. 100
    Shout joyfully to the Lord, all
    the earth!
    Serve the Lord with
    Come before Him with joyful
    Know that the Lord Himself
    is God;
    It is He who has made us,
    not we ourselves;
    We are His people and the
    sheep of His pasture.
    Enter His gates with
    And His courts with praise,
    Give thanks to Him; bless His
    For the Lord is good;
    His lovingkindness is
    And His faithfulness to all

    "I have loved thee with an everlasting love;
    therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn thee."

    That's a pretty joyful thought to meditate on!

    Laugh, for you belong to the Lord, and He is Good!

    God's blessing to all!

    How I loved how you put laughter as a joyful noise. I love it - it makes me so happy thinking aboutit that way.

    What a great way to open up that Psalm. You have a real gift of bringing the Scriptures ALIVE! Thank you.

    " A merry heart doeth good like a medicine"
    - Proverbs?

    I had a pastoral counselor once that I went to. It ended up that in our talking, we would make each other laugh; it worked out as a way of healing for me. He was mature, a very wise and Godly man. So one time I asked him what was the most meaningful memory he had from Sunday school.

    He said this boy walked up to him, said "I don't like you, and cut off his tie."

    LOL - that was hysterical to me. He was the one who always quoted about the Merry heart being a medicine.

    And he felt that was just what the Holy Spirit wanted for us! (These were counseling sessions.)

    Wolf, i'm glad you like my "Dose" hope it is good medicine!
    I was going to ask you about your faith, but didn't want to be nosey.
    Now, we have three things in common!

    Judy, That counselor sounds like a man with a healthy attitude!
    A merry heart dose good, like medicine,
    But a broken spirit dries the bones.

    Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
    But a good word makes glad.

    Prv. 15:15
    Everyday is hard for those who suffer,
    but a happy heart is a continual feast.

    Is that one of those parodoxes? We can suffer and have a happy heart at the same time?
