Sometimes you just have to get away.

Ever notice how a short break can refresh you? When things are really hectic and you are very busy it is nearly impossible to stop and take a break. When you do take time for a break you will find that you can return to what you were doing feeling focused and re-energized. Rest breaks are essential to maintain stamina and stay on task.

Jesus often took time away from the noise of the crowds. It was a necessary and vital part of his ministry. He would slip away and spend time in prayer. This provided him an opportunity to be in contact with his Father and be sure that he was following his Father's desires. The time he took to get away was really time taken to stay in very close contact with the One that mattered most to him. Are you taking time away to stay in close contact with the Lord? It is absolutely essential that you do. In the still and quite times with Him you will be refreshed and ready to face what ever the world has to offer.

You may feel you are too busy to take time away to be with the Lord. Now you know that time away is the best way to remain close to Him. - Gail Lindsay

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Mark 1:35
