On your mark, get set, go!

They are off. Off and running, and running, and running. First they are dropping children off. Then they are picking children up. Next they are stopping at the store, then it is a run to the cleaners. Round the turn and a drop into the post office followed by a short visit at the vet. Into the final stretch it is a run to Home Depot, and then oops wrong thing, another run to Home Depot and finally home to start the race to cook, eat and cleanup dinner before racing into bed. Wait! This is not the race being run for Christ. This is an entirely different race. This is a race against time.

It is easy to get caught up in the world's race and lose sight of what really matters most. The race that you are running should be the race that has eternal meaning. Rather than being distracted and kept busy by the world take a step back and run the race where the finish line is just the beginning. Today and everyday run the race of Christ.

You may have been racing against the clock and losing sight of Jesus Christ. Now you know to run the race where the focus is Him - Gail Lindsay

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1
