GIVE IT TO GOD Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. MATTHEW 6:34 (KJV) Most of us are born worriers. Some things we can handle fairly well, while others keep us awake all night. If things are going fairly well one day, we still lie awake waiting for the second shoe to drop, knowing it will drop, wondering if we will survive the fall. This is exactly what Jesus warns against: anticipatory worrying. Life provides us with plenty to deal with in one day, so why look ahead to tomorrow's problems? God knows exactly what we need and will provide it when we need it. That should leave us all with a little extra time to "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" (MATTHEW 6:33 KJV). Dear Heavenly Father, We trust You for the basics of life but continue to worry about them, as if our worrying could do us good. Strengthen our faith in Your provision so we can concentrate on the work You have in mind for us to accomplish. Amen and Amen.
