I went out this weekend and got "Fibromyalgia for Dummies", while I was waiting for the Arthritis Foundation one to arrive.

Not bad, but some of the "in-depth" discussion wasn't really in-depth. And the supplements section was extremely deficient to say the least. Valerian and magnesium - that was it!!!

However, I do think it is a simple book that would help friends and family get a basic understanding of our DD. My husband gets it next!

I have this book and I found it to be very helpful, especially since I had just been diagnosed with FMS and found it so confusing and hard to understand. This book definitely simplifies it. Some people here objected to the titled saying they are not "dummies", but the title didn't offend me. You probably know this book is part of a whole series of books on various topics.

My husband also read this book and it helped him, too.
