Does anyone have experience with this medicine? It comes in an injection form as well as a capsule. I was just curious if anyone had experience with this. Thanks.

I was given Dilaudid when I broke my back. They gave me an IV with PCA (patient controlled anesthesia). It was wonderful. It killed my pain better than any drug I'd been given. It was much better than Morphine. The only problems I had with it was that it made me very sleepy, and quite constipated. Someone would definately have to take stool softeners if they were put on this.

That being said, I found it to be a great pain killer with minimal side effects, though each person responds a bit differently, I'm sure. I'm allergic to most pain killers so it was really a blessing.
