    Mine took 16 mos.
It has been over 2 yrs. from when I first filed.
I guess it just depends on your state and the court system there.
    Best wishes, Claudia

    Hi There,

As for the timing, any one of a number of things might come into consideration.

Your age could one, the # of specialists you have seen, what you have dx w/, the wording of various things in your medical records...... The list goes on & on.

I initally applied in Sept '04 (left work in Sept '03)finally had my hearing before an ALJ in Jan '06. I'm still waiting for a formal positive outcome. So for me, it has been a very long haul. I was on state short term disability for only 6 months. We truly are suffering without my salary.

On a side note - it is difficult to read when posts are in all caps. On-line ettiquitte actually considers it shouting LOL!! So silly, I know your not shouting - but as your posts get longer, it is more difficult to read all caps. (No offense intended by any means!)

Best of luck to you w/ your SSD situation. Hope things move along quickly & positively for you. Please keep us posted : )

    Gentle Hugs,
    Patty
