I got my denial letter from Social Security today. I am just in tears. I know I should have expected it, but I had hoped I'd get it first try.

I have no idea how to pick a good disability attorney. I don't know anyone who has used one, so I can't ask anyone. Reading the yellow pages seems like a crap-shoot.

Has anyone had good dealings with a disability attorney in the Chicago/NW suburbs areas?

and have a good one if you can't find one closer. I would think you could do things by mail and fax if necessary.

I found mine in the yellow pages. I just made sure he only did disability. That way you know he/she is probably good because it's the only way he/she makes a living. Maybe not a good theory but it worked for me.

went thru the phone book and placed a call to Thomas Nash...waiting for a call back. His practice is nothing but Social Security claims, so I really hope I made the right choice.
