the typical sore throat, tender lymph nodes?

I have every symptom under the sun, but i dont have the tender lymph nodes...i have an off and on mild sore throat but not a major chronic one.

I was just curious who has these "typical" CFS symtpoms.
    Thx!

Yes, I had them NONSTOP with low-grade fever (100-101) for the first 10-15 years of being REALLY ill.

Hope your week is going as smoothly as it can with this illness.

I don't have sore throat now but did at the start with tender lymphnodes. I've had two recurrences of sore throat, mostly with physical overexertion.

I believe I had tender/swollen lymph nodes when I first was sick.

They came back after I started taking antiviral medication ten years later.

I rarely had them to any significant extent in the intervening years.

Aren't they primarily present with severe active infections?

If so, it would make sense that we often don't have them, if it's the case that the viruses we have often go into "hiding".....

    Best, Lisa

I may be wrong, but, swollen lymph nodes are a defense against an invasion of anything foreign to our body. This would include bacteria and viruses. But, in my and my son's experience, it also included aspartame, splenda, msg, trichloroethylene and other chemicals.
