    Hi All,

The last 6 month have been hell with my CFS. It has brought on anxiety and panic attacks and now i fear i may have got this FM. My body aches all the time like i got the flu.
So far i have been taking paracetmol but i am concerned by the amount i am taking.
Is this Fm and if so what do i do about the pain?

ok i know i sound like a tv ad, but its true. you gotta see your doc about this. if he/she is the one who has told you that you have CFS, then its more likely that he/she will also know a bit about FMS and can help you out. there are very specific tender points used to diagnose it, and other illnesses that cause pain should be ruled out first, such as arthritis etc.

be cautious with the amount of paracetamol you are taking, don't take more than the box says; it can seriously harm your liver. it is better to get a stronger pain med from your doc than take too much paracetamol.

hope that was a little bit helpful, good luck with it.

See a pain specialist. Also, when no psychological reason could be found for my anxiety, I started taking Klonopin. It has helped everything for me. It helps me sleep, helps my sensory overload and has gotten rid of my anxiety/panic attacks.

Many of us have both CFS and FMS. The symptoms are overlapping in sooooo many areas.

    Dear mikie,

Here in the uk they dont give out klonopin as they believe it very addictive. I am at present been on diazepam which was only meant to be for a couple of weeks now i cant stop that and it does nothing now either.
As i have said i am coming off Mirtazpine/Remeron and start dothipin next week in hope it stops these panic attacks.
At present having sleeping problems too which is just adding to all my other problems.

I am on the waiting list to see the ME centre here in the Uk. Got about a 3 months wait until then i have to just suffer and hope i can get some what better on the transfer over to other anti-depressant.
