I wanted to ask this as before going on celexa/xanac I never seemed to dream-
have had lupus since a teenager-not serious one tho- got FM about 6 or 7 years ago-very very sick for about 4 or 5 years- still have foggies tho- that has not gone away (I wish)
I always had trouble getting up before FM- used to have THREE alarm clocks.
I now dream quite often and remember my dreams quite often.
I know about the REM sleep thing, but a strong indicator for me personally was the dreaming thing-
and my doctors in previous years before FM had all dismissed it as a " oh you just don't remember them".
Well I am very grateful that my doc put me on these meds as they have changed my life. The serotonin thing is working for me. I pray you all find your answers too.

Glad to hear you found some drugs that work for you.

I've been on several antidepressants over the last 3 decades. There was
one that gave me vivid dreams. Enough plot of a couple of movies.

And one that gave me boring dreams where nothing happened. Just
walk down the sidewalk, for example. Have Alzheimer's now. Can't
    remember which drug did what.

But most of the time I don't really remember any dreams. I haven't had a
fun dream of flying for about 60 years.
