I'm all for it! So I called my Insurance company and asked if a whirlpool/ hot tub would be considered "durable medical equipment".... she laughed, and said, "Nice try!"

Oh well, it was worth a shot!

There is a tub, which physical therapists use, which is a hydrotherapy tub. It is NOT A HOT TUB.

THEY HAVE THEM LARGE ENOUGH TO SIT IN OR SIT ON THE EDGE AND PUT A LIMB IN IT.

That would not be considered anything BUT MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.

If your doctor prescribes a certain type of thing, such as a heated whirlpool or tub, then it is TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

A pool can be, as well.
