Doctors who follow Cheney's protocols?

Does anyone know of a doctor who follows Dr. Cheney's protocols, and also does the same type of cardiac testing, etc.? I read that he uses a very new, specific machine which checks blood output and that he looks for diastolic dysfunction, which very few doctors check for. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to find some doc who does this. His office does not have any kind of list like this.

I talked with them once and they were very helpful.

I'm going to a heart specialist Friday and I've wondered about the same thing. I asked about the heart question to my dr. at Hunter-Hopkins & altough Dr. Lapp worked with Dr Cheney in the beginning evidently they do not agree with him about the diastolic dysfunction. I was told that they do not believe that CFS is a progressive disease although I was recommended to the specialist because of my difficulties during the heast exercise test & irregular EKGs. When I read Dr. Cheney's idea about the heart, it describes my condition.

Mikie: What is Dr. Cheney's web address & is his phone # on the site?

Using any of the search programs like if it is not in the Doc Referral List here. He is near Asheville, NC.

I too am seeing Dr. Sharp, since I understood he followed Cheney's protocals. Can you share with me any success you have had while seeing him and which treatments have worked for which conditions?

Thanks for your time in answering this.

I did call Dr. Cheney's office and ask if there were any other doctors that does what he does, and they said they don't know-they don't give out referrals.

I will try to contact Dr. Sharp's office. Pawprints, do you know if he does cardiac testing?

Thanks for the information. It was my understanding that Sharp treated Lyme as well as CFIDS. Did he refer you to the LLMD in MO?

He has not mentioned any cardiac testing to me, but I would call his office and inquire about that.

Thanks so much for your reply. I guess that was where I was second guessing my treatment in terms of herbs versus antibiotics. I think a combination of the two would probably be must useful.

I am glad to know that Dr. S is open to abx. He gave me the impression that he was not, so I didn't want to push the issue.

Did you have a clear diagnosis with a positive Igenex test? Also, do you still see Dr. Sharp to follow other aspects of your care?

I give you alot of credit for seeking out a good doctor in a different state even when you are feeling so lousy.

    Best of luck,
