Does anyone from Richmond, Virginia know a GOOD Family Practice Doctor? I have been searching high and low, since my last PCP left his practice to go into a membership based
group. $1700 out of my pocket, then co-pays too. Just couldn't do it.

Ever since he has left, I feel like a fish out of water.
The ones that I have seen, including Internal Medicine Doctors, look just as dumb founded as you can get when you ask them any questions concerning Fibro or CFS.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Sheila

Hi, I lived in Richmond from 1987-2001. I went to Dr Kevin Powers at Glenside Medical at Staples Mill and Glenside.

I didn't read your bio, sorry, so I don't know what your health problems are. But he is a good GP, I saw him from 1995-2001.

He diagnosed my possible Fibro and was sending me to a specialist, but my mother suddenly became ill and I had to move before I got to see the Fibro Dr. I'm sorry but I can't think of that Drs name but I do remember others saying he was good.

I think he is listed here on Prohealth under find a Dr. I hope that helps you. I know how hard it is to find a good Dr. I went thru this when I moved back to Ky.

Three months after I moved, I had to go back to Richmond because of the sale of my home. I still had not found a Dr, so Dr, Powers gave me all the meds I needed, including 90 vicodan. Not many will do that after you had left them.

Let us know how things go. How long have you lived in Richmond? Lovely town, I miss it so. Carla
