Does anyone get dizzy or out of sorts in a room painted in bright colors?
Our new library in Seattle is all red, floor, ceiling,
I get so sick and dizzy.
    Do you get blurred vision.
    Claustrophobic in small places.
    Sensitive to noises and light?
    besides the tired and achy.

Yes ! very sensitive to bright colours ,a few years back I had bright pink carpet in my bedroom ,I couldn't get rid of it quick enough :)

a search for " strabismus)/fibromyalgia "will give you more info how the eyes are affected
    Good Luck

hi ellie, and welcome to the board, i see you are new!
are you new to this whole DD or just the board? sorrry you have to be here, but it's a great place to be for support and education!
yes, anything "extreme" gets to me, espec. noises!
i have a Christmas rug in my bathroom for 3 weeks out of the year, and everytime i sit on the commode my head spins a little from looking at it! (no, i still haven't gotten rid of it--gotta have a little control over this DD)
i guess we are just doomed to be mellow pastel types of people, not a bad thing, just different.
also flashing lights in certain patterns bother me.
    welcome and Happy Easter!--L

I get very dizzy with patterned carpeting or with the bright lights and shiny floors like in hospitals or wal-mart.

My vision blurs, no known cause and at different times and I am always very nervous and out of sorts when my house is filled with teenagers-though I would never let my boys know this because I love their friends and they would stop letting them come over if they knew how sick the noise made me feel.

I had those symptoms before I knew about the fibro...went to a specialist even. They never could figure it out...thought it was vertigo at first then as it continued they thought atypical migraines or menieres. Once I learned about the fibro and read all the symptoms it all fell into place!

I am not too claustrophobic ... but I have a problem with feeling "boxed in" or "trapped" when people invade my space or in a crowded room. I cannot tolerate most bright colors. I am extremely light & noise sensitive. Also I am extremely chemical sensitive (perfumes, potpuri, lysol spray, etc).

    Isn't this fun???????? geesh

DEB ... same here ... this crap has gone on for years with me too prior to DX.

Cannot stand someone to use a flash camera = my eyes are never the same. Can't cope with a direct light on me, e.g. a spotlight. Can't cope with loud noises or loud music, sound, etc. It is all part of the nervous system irregularities.

Noone if my family really understands,
I never knew that all these symptoms were part of the fibro, I've never gone to the Dr. about this because I am sure she would just shrug it off.
Feeling way uncomforatable going into a room with shiny floors, esp. a black and white pattern. Bright colors make me feel so dizzy.
Yes, I also feel way uncomforatable when people come into my space.
I refuse to believe this is permanent and now that I know more of what this is I am going to do everything I can to feel better.
The most important thing is not being able to get motivated in the morning due to lack of good sleep.
I have to pace myself and save up energy.
