I am having a devil of a time trying to find a GOOD Dr. here. I know there is a clinic in London Ontario, but you have to go there for 4 weeks and attend classes 8 hours a day. If I could do that, I would be working!
There is a shortage of doctors and I am currently seeing my GP. He is a nice guy, but he is very slow returning, and not clear enough on my medical forms, as I have been denied long term once already.
I don't know what to do next?

Dr. Anil Jain is an associate of Dr. Byron Hyde.
I believe he has a clinic. Try local support group
    for contact info. Good Luck.

    Hi there!
I live just east of Windsor in the County!!! Hello!

Talk about a hard time finding doctors here or what! There is defo not a specialist that's for sure. Do you have FM or CFS? I'm more the CFS side for sure but did do the clinic in london, it gives coping tools and management skills, exercise, pacing etc, but no cures that's for sure. The clinic is designed for the sick, so it's no where near like life of full time work.

Sorry don't know of a good doc, as am trying to find this myself. I now see Dr bested in t.o. which is a heck of a journey she knows what's she's talking about at least but is a very long process.

Do you go to the support group here?

    Take care,
    Shannon

Nice to hear from you! I have fibro. I live in the east end of Windsor. I go to an ok Dr. but he seems to think I can/will improve! HA! I am 41 years old. I have heard there is a support group at Met Hospital. I will be contacted when the next meeting is. (I hear it will be soon) So far, this site is the best support I have found. I am so happy to know someone from my city on here! I can let you know when this support group meets if you'd like....

I don't know is this is helpful but there a some good drs. in the Detroit area. You might have to pay out of pocket though.

Thank you romala. I have a 7 year old at home and my b/f is a student so I do not have a way to be gone from home for a month! (family is not an option).
I have heard of good Dr. in Michigan but most are homeopath, and I am just slowing learning about that end of things. $$ is a dire problem, and scarce! LOL
    Thanks all!

I certainly understand the money situation. I know of two good doctors who are MDs in the Detroit area and one in Flint. I know Windsor is right across the river, so it wouldn't be that far, but also know you have national healthcare so it probably wouldn't pay for you to be seen in US.

You can spend big bucks and go to the top CFS docs, and it's no guarantee you'll get good help or improve.

I drove from Illinois to N. Carolina to see Dr Charles Lapp (a former partner of Paul Cheney) and a top-rated CFS doc.

He told me to take B12 shots (but really low doses) swithc up my sleep meds and take an additional supplemetn or 2. All for $1,300.

What a waste of time and money. Oh and Live within the envelope.

What a load of crap. He's clueless.

Anyhow I am recovering, thanks to TRansfer Factor, and lately the methylation procotol.

If I were starting over, I would use Dr Myhill's mitofuel supplements (see her article in the library or threads on mitofuel) and then I would do the methylation protocol to get your body detoxing and boost gluthatione production.

No one doc seems to have cracked it. I think Rich Van Konyenburg's approach seems the most promsing. It is the one that has helped me the most, adn I am pretty confident about making a full recovery.
