I have Tufts, and it says that I need prior authorization for Xyrem. Im assuming that means that my doc will have to fill out paperwork for the insurance company to review and then decide to cover it or not???

I am totally confused. How did all of you, that are taking Xyrem, get yours covered by insurance?

I also have one more question...is Xyrem liquid form???

    Thanks,
    Stephanie

My insurance covers xyrem. I understand not all do for FM because it's off label still. Hopefully that will change soon. Prior authorization maybe means your doctor and you fill out the paperwork and get approved before they will cover it.

And yes, it comes in liquid form.

I have Anthem and they cover it-I just have to pay the co-pay. Good Luck! Marmar
