Does your doctor overlook the obvious?

A few days ago, I made an appointment with our local Hearing Services, who told me I would need a referral from my doctor. SO I went to my PCP, and he examined my ears. " wax, no obvious sign of why are you going to Hearing Services?"
"Well, gee, doc, how about THIS one? I CAN'T HEAR! An no, it is NOT 'just my fibro acting up!"

    Soft hugs,

    Hi Saoirse!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your hearing! It's bad enough that we have fibro and other DD's but to add the hearing problems to the mix, that must be so hard. I had to giggle a little when you said, gee doc, I CAN'T HEAR,lol! I always say, Thank God I have a sense of humor or I might be dead!! Good luck with the hearing specialist and I hope that it's nothing serious.

    Faith, Peace and Comfort, Julie

Whether I had trouble hearing, I said, "I'm sorry, did you say something?"

I'll bet he hears that all day long but you don't give a straight line like that to a comic-minded person like me and not expect a smarty pants response. My corny humor started early on. When I was 12, my eye doc asked if my eyes had ever been checked. I said, "No, they've always been blue." At least, that doc laughed.

    Love, Mikie
