I found a report of a doppler study done of my neck when I was having dizzy spells..My doc never mentioned the results and I had forgotten about it..

The impression reads: 50% left ICA stenosis, does anyone know what this means ?

Will make an appointment soon and discuss this with the doc but just curious if this is abnormal or what the heck it is..

    Thanks,
    greatgran

It means constriction or narrowing. That's about all I can say. Your Doctor will, I'm sure, give you a better explanation. Love and prayers, K-Nick

I would assume it means you have stenosis (narrowing of your artery) at a rate of 50% to your left internal carotid artery. It predisposes you to blood clots and possible strokes so you need to have that doc check you out!

    Good luck!

Thank you both for your replies, would you believe this was done in 2000 and never mentioned to me..

Seems all of me is falling apart..

    God bless,

Wonder if this could have anything to do with my low oxygen levels at night..and my blue lips.
