Since going off Elavil I am going crazy from itch and hives. I dont want to go back on it again. I have tried every antihistimane there is and none are helping.

I read that Doxepan helps some peple that suffer from allergies and I also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.

I am at my wits end at this stage.

    Any replies appreciated

i don't know anything about doxepan, but vitamin c is a powerful antihistamine. you can buy it in powdered form for solaray that delivers a 5 grams a serving! it's worth a shot?!

Haven't talked with you in a while. I hope you are doing well.

I've found Children's Benadryl works well as an antihistamine and helps with sleep at bedtime. It can be taken in small doses during the day without drowsiness because it isn't as strong as the Bendaryl for adults.

I had to stop the Doxepin at bedtime because it was exacerbating my seizure symptoms during the day.

    Love, Mikie
