My regular PCP is on vacation so I had to see a different Dr.for this pain in my side. Talk about rude. Well he came in with a scowl on his face and asked me why I was there. Which I had already told all this to the nurse. Anyways I old him Rhumey said she wondered if it was my gallbladder well his sighs and the says" well she must not have been paying attention, your symptoms may sound like gallbladder but if she had paid attention to where you said the pain was it can't be it because it is on the other side. " he ordered a upper GI, is not even looking at my gallbladder or spleen Where the freaking pain feels like it is.

He is suggesting acid reflux, but I don't get heartburn and the feeling in my eshophagas like people say come with that. This guy was so rude and apparently HE doesn't listen. I did the upper GI today but am disappointed. My regular PCP will be back next week and he should get the results and then I will talk to him. This guy was an idiot !! I hate when we are treated like this, And to top it off I explained to him that having FMS/CFS this pain sets everything else off and Get this he ROLLED his eyes !! I couldn't believe it. I will be saying something to my PCP when I see him. I will update you guys when I hear something.

So sorry you had to go through all of that. One time when my PCP was not in I had to see someone else in the practice. He was very rude and uniformed. I told my PCP about it and he said he was sorry for this and would talk to the doctor about it. The doctor wanted every detail of it.

    Yes, they can be rude.

I just had a very expensive work up done with a Hematologist and I have no medical insurance. My Primary Care Dr. had done tons of blood work and my White Cell Count and Sed Rate were high for 50 days. He just felt he had to send me to a specialist just to make sure he wasn't missing anything like cancer. $500.00 in cash later this so called specalist spent 15 minutes with me, ordered blood work done, which his center did there and I never heard a word from him nor did my Dr. I got a bill in the mail Monday from the lab for the blood work and I called this Dr.'s office and demanded to know why I wasn't told my blood results were back and whether there was something terribily wrong with me or what. They had no answers, they just said that they would fax the results over to my Primary Doc. I guess I don't have cancer, because if I do, then they neglected to tell me. Come to find out I had a bacterial infection that no antibiotic would clear and was sick for that 50 day period. I told my husband I wouldn't put myself through this again.

I wish I had never even gone now. All I have done is created another bill to pay and I am sure they weren't doing the right test. I will wait until I see my PCP, which I don't know when that will be unless he calls regardng this test. He doesn't even set regular visits up with me even though I am on BP meds and also seeing a Rhumey for Lupus. It's like they just don't care anymore. I will se what they say when the tests come back. And when I do see him I am saying something. I must really have bad luck with dors as this has happened to me befreo while looking for a Rhumey.

How dreadful. That guy needs to be rolling something other than his eyes for sure, like the dice to see if he will still be a medical practitioner in two years!!!

Gee the absolute cheek of some people.

Let us know how your tests turn out. I think the upper GI should also indicate gallbladder issues a little, though don't quote me on that. Ask for a Hydascan (sp) to RO gallbladder if nothing else.

I also wanted to tellyou that when I had stomach polyps they mimicked gallbladder pain, even thought they are meant to be harmless and painless, they sure were not.
