Has anyone here experienced a drop in blood pressure while standing? If so, have you found anything to help? Thanks.

The doctor told my daughter to eat more salt with her foods to help. Chicken noodle soup is high in sodium.

If salt helps, it may mean that your adrenal gland is not functioning properly and you need to have it tested.

I also suffer with this problem and find licorice works like a charm. I am very sensitive to salt, it gives me chronic heartburn. Also sitting up for a bit helps and then slowly getting into a standing position and walking slowly to start really works.

this is a very common symptom of cfs and fm. for some reason our blood pressure doesn't adjust as quickly as it should and the only thing u can do is getting up slowly. i know it is a nuisance, but there's nothing else we can do.
    good luck.
