Hi Everyone, I read about drugs you are on and some of which i never heard of. Some of us take fare to many and wonder do we need them all. Others take none. The way i see it there is only only a few symptoms needed treated. Pain Fatigue Anxiety Sleep Depression I am aware that what works for one might not work for another. So what i was thinking is if you could post what drug you take for what reason and do they work. We will see what drugs are most popular and their usuage in treatment. Shazzy
Synthroid (thyroid) Tylenol with codeine (pain) On occasion - Skelaxin (muscle relaxer) I hate taking all these pills. Between those and my vitamin and acidophilus and sometimes I need some pepto bismal..........I swear I eat enough pills to replace a meal everyday. But you gotta do what you gotta do !
ziac - to lower rapid heartbeat . Works Zanaflex - muscles relaxer. Works and helps somewhat with sleep. Lortab - for pain relief. Somewhat effective Xanax - anxiety and sleep. Works anxiety, sometimes sleep. Prevacid - for acid reflex Zoloft - don't know rhinorcort for allergies - helps Glucophage - insuline resistance. Not sure acidophilus for IBS to put good bacteria in intestines

As soon as I win the lottery (LOL) I swear one of the first things I'm going to do is check into a major, well-known Wellness Center and do some major DETOX! Wouldn't that be great? Clean out all systems, inhale pure oxygen, and start your life over from a fresher start! Take care, all
I've tried so many in the last 3 years, and before I wouldn't touch 'em. Ativan-muscle pain -works " " anxiety -works Neurontin 300 x3 nerve, and general pain. It works for nerve pain, don't know about the rest. I need to stop it for awhile and see, I've been on it for 2 years. Soma-muscle pain -as needed- sometimes works-rarely take it. Klonipin -sleep & RLS - works (thank god!) Ambian -sleep rarely take now, but works Darvacet-rarely- helps a little Ultram- pain and energy- works to a degree DHEA- low hormone level-too soon to tell Creatine- stopped muscle twitches no energy improvement yet
For Fatigue: Provigil For Depression: Wellbutrin SR For Anxiety: Klonopin For Cognition: See all above Also Tenormin for rapid heart beat and testosterone for low levels. Some days I feel like I may be onto something. Some days not. -David B
I was on Trazadone for sleep for several months and it didn't seem to help me much, other than make me feel "drunk" the next morning. My doctor perscribe Zyprexa in place of the Trazadone and it works wonderfully. No morning hangovers and it's really not like a sleeping pill, you just feel very relaxed and can fall to sleep easily. I now sleep through the entire night and wake feeling rested and ready to go. You may want to read up on it and ask your doctor if you can try it. Duragesic patch, 100mg- works great for pain Morophine sulfate, 20mg x 2- works as break through pain relever Lexapro, 10mg- anti depressant Zyprexa, 10mg- anti depressant, works for restful sleep Lepressor, 20mg- for irregular heartbeat Calcium with Vitamin D Magnesium Potassium [This Message was Edited on 06/08/2003]

Hello there! I am new here, but, find many things of interest! In regards to meds...I am on: Neurontin 900mg at night for sleep Xanax as needed for anxiety Celexa for depression Vicodin for pain Seems so little compared to some that I saw. Thanks! MUSM (Mean Ugly Step Mom)
Prescriptions: Just Maxalt on occasion (for migraines). OTC: I sometimes use benedryl for sleep if I've had a couple of bad nights in a row. The pantry full of supplements is too long to list, I'm not sure I could remember them all! For the migraines, the Maxalt works well for me, & I don't get them that often, so that's one I'd recommend for any migraine sufferers out there.....of course, what works for me may not work for someone else. I think my diet helps more than anything else. Hope we're all finding things that actually help... Hugs, Pam
Weaning off meds here, as best I can: Current Rx Hx: Remeron 25-22mgs HS Ultram 100mgs BID--doesnt help pain anymore, but helps my mood! Klonopin down to 1mgs/day. Or in its place 5-10mgs Valium Advil for general headaches and Pain When a migraine hits....been getting more lately. 400-600mgs of Advil Liquids Caps, 100mgs of Ultram and 10mgs of Compazine, with 10mgs of Valium <=====only rarely do I take this. Propecia for hair loss, not FMS related-heritary.
