Well everyone, I finally had to do it - dump my health insurance. Right now I am living with my sister and she seems to be pushing me out and the only way for me to have enough money to live on my own was to cancel my health insurance. It will save me $400 a month.

I went online and applied for free Lyrica through Pfizer, sent in the paperwork, and got it. I'm just waiting for it to be mailed to me, so that is good news.

Still scary though. In my state, PA, I have to wait 90 days before I can apply for health insurance through the state. I thought it was a year, but 90 days is much better.

That is a scary move but an understandable choice with the economic situation we're in these days. Hopefully the government will come up with a good health plan very soon.
