Hi all. Just came from 2nd ART appt. He gave me a stretch/exercise to do, especially for people with poor posture. Bad posture has been connected to chronic illness. Can you believe it?!? Anywho, here goes: Sit on a chair and scoot close to the edge. Set your legs/feet apart a bit (shoulder width) Put your arms down to your sides and out just a wee bit, palms facing out. Back straight, but don't tense up, just sit up straight. Inhale deeply through your nose, and exhale purposefully and slowly. Repeat 3 or 4 times (breathing). You can do this any time of day, but it's especially useful for when you have to sit for long periods at a time. It was invented by a Swedish doc but my fibrofog is so bad, that I've already forgotten his name!!! I like it, it really opens up your shoulder muscles. LOL, Debbie PS.
