Anyone have any success with this tx for CFS? I saw it in a publication from CFIDS association as form of tx that is being explored.

I volunteer with a therapist who provides mental health services to children and families. She uses this treatment with some of her clients with emotional issues and finds it useful.

I just wonder if anyone here has tried it for CFS.

hello. i have heard good things about EMDR for people with past trauma but can't see how it would help CFS....

I saw a therapist who used it for past trauma, and it was very effective for that. I think ALL therapists should know how to do it, and that it can be used for many more things.

However, I know nothing about using it for CFS -- but you never know --

I think EMDR can be very useful for psychological/emotional issues, but can't imagine it doing anything for biophysical issues....except maybe as a way to cope with them.....to me, this sounds like yet another version of the psychological model for treating ME/CFS and we already know how well that does NOT work
