I remember reading a post on here recently about someone mentioning that Evening Primrose Oil shouldn't be taken along with some other med. I don't remember if it was A/D's or what, but I thought it was a med I take.

I'm sorry to have to repeat something that has already been on the board, but could anyone help me about this? I have heard that Evening Primrose Oil is good for neuropathy. I wanted to buy some from the Pro Health store.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Big hugs,

    Faye,

It should not be taken along with phenothiazines (usually given for seizures and schizophrenia). Here's a list:

    Chlorpromazine
    Fluphenazine
    Mesoridazine
    Methotrimeprazine
    Pericyazine
    Perphenazine
    Prochlorperazine
    Thioproperazine
    Thioridazine
    Trifluoperazine

It can also interact with NSAIDS and blood thinners like warfarin and even garlic and gingko (not sure about coumadin).

    Thanks, Jan!
Yeah, well I thought there was something I was taking... The Diclofenac I take is a NSAID and so the EPO would be a no no for me. I take it after dinner every night, so...

Thanks so much, Jan, for answering this. I hope it helps you, too, Louise.

    Big hugs,
