I am slowly getting used to all of the unusual things that come along with Fibro. However, the latest symptom is eyelid twitching. Both lower eyelids twitch off and on throughout the day. My eyes seem to burn slightly, but, I have no redness or discharge. The twitching has been going on for about two weeks now. I am not in pain, simply annoyed.

Has anyone experienced this with Fibro? Would love some input.

    Have a great weekend!

My right upper eyelid twitches alot. It will take spells of twitching for days at a time. Also, my eyes are really sensitive so they burn alot.

The only thing I do is try to find the nerve that is making it twitch and just hold my finger on it and apply a little pressure, which helps sometimes but not always.

Hope you find some answers soon. I know how annoying the twitching can be. I always wonder if people can actually see it twitching because it does it constantly when it is bothering me.

Sorry, not much help I know. Just wanted to let you know I can relate.

Hi, yes The eye twitch happens to me alot. It will go away. The problem is when it goes away you don't even notice it being gone, until it comes back.

I've been told that no one can see it, but I'm not sure they are telling the truth.

I get that ALL the time and it is VERY annoying, but for me it is on the top of the eyelid and usually last for ME 3 weeks and will be gone for a couple of months, I too put my fingers on it to try and stop it and yes..sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...you just have to wait it out. good luck to you.

    love to all, Ann

Hi. I've been kind of just hanging out here learning from everyone; haven't posted before. I have had this at times and my doc said it's mostly from fatigue, which makes sense w/fibro. no one can see it, but it sure feels like everyone can. it usually goes away for me after I start taking better care of myself and pull back on activities that really tire me out. the longest it's lasted for me is about 3 weeks. hope this helps.

I had eye twitching and found out it was nasal polyps. I would go to a Nose,Ear & Throat Specialist to get checked out. Another person I know had twitching and they discovered a malignant tumour behind her eye. Im not trying to scare anyone but better be safe than sorry. I suffered for 2 years with sinus infections before I spoke up and said I need to see a Nose Ear and Throat Specialist. I never even heard of nasal polyps when I went to see the specialist. Some people have them and dont have sinus infections and have no real symptoms. They take years to grow and can be different sizes.
