    Hi everyone,
I don't know if it's the anesthesia from surgery or the fact that I've been almost completely bedridden for the past 2 weeks after surgery but I've been feeling sad.

I could use some encouragement and prayer. I am trying to feel better but just can't get over the hump:)

Hello Monkeycat, sorry you are feeling blue and sad.Just remember that are going thru alot right now and that Lord is by your side. Please keep your faith in him strong.

Dear Lord, I prayy for Monkeykat this morning, asking that you remain by her side, holding her hand, to give her comfort, peace, and the stength to endure . Let her put all of faith in you, and you will most certainly deliver the needs she needs. I praise your name. I pray all of this in the name of Jesus, amen.

Sending prayers up for you today. It is pretty common for people to get depressed after surgery. It can be from the anesthesia or just the trauma your body just went through. IT usually will pass. Being bedridden would make anyone feel down. I hope you feel better soon and recover from your surgery quickly.

    Take care,

I felt so much refreshment reading your prayers and words of encouragement today. I think each day will be a bit of a struggle for a little while until I regain some ground with my health. I guess we just need the grace and strength for each new day.

I spoke to my doctor in Flint, MI and he is going to send me a supplement called "SAMe". He also said that the anesthesia can make me feel pretty bad for about 6 weeks. The "SAMe" is supposed to help me not feel depressed. Whoo hoo!!!

I'm sorry that you are feeling sad, I think that everyone goes through that after surgery.

I will certainly be praying for the Lord to lift your spirits and that you will have a speedy recovery.

Thank you both for your response, kind words & prayers:)

I don't get depressed to often but I think it's probably good that I'm experiencing some depression b/c now I have a better understanding of what others are going through when they ask for prayer for this.

It's terrible to feel this way but I keep telling myself that feelings ARE NOT truth. These feelings will pass and things will improve. I appreciate you both:)

that you are feeling so blue. I will be sure to add you to my prayer list. I know it can be so hard to keep your spirits up when there is so much to deal with.

Take care and get plenty of rest. Prayers are being lifted up to our Father for you.

    God bless

Thank you for your care and prayers. I am slowly but surely feeling better.

God aswered our prayers and my doctor sent me a supplement called SAMe (kind of expensive) that has helped to pull me out of the depression too. I can use it when I have bad days and don't have to stay on it all the time which works out great since I only have a couple sad days every few months usually.

I guess we all have a lot to grieve when there are so many losses in our lives. I know the Lord will bring me to a place of hope and joy again:) May he bless you all abundantly for your prayers and give you joy in your heart today!

    Love you all, Monkeykat
