i was dx with fibro tuesday by a rheumatologist. he heard very little of what i had or wanted to say and quickly examined me.

following the exam and a short discussion, he dx me with fibromyalgia, bursitis in both my hips and upped my NSAI's to 500 mg 4x/day and an anti-depressant.

he did not find or recognize major inflammation and heat on my si joints nor did he find or note the lumps behind my leg running the entire length of my upper leg. These are not sore and I can move them around.

perhaps i do have fibro but i think there is more to it due to the fever and inflammation with heat.

Welcome to this site. There are a lot of nice people here.

I have FM and we definitely have a lot of weird symptoms. It is very frustrating when you visit a doctor and you don't feel that they are listening to you. I have had that experience with doctors too.

Maybe since you are not sure of your diagnosis you should try to get a second opinion. I would be concerned to about lumps that the doctor wasn't paying any attention to.
