My mother, who is 77 has had fibro for many years and seems fixated on human growth hormone as the only possible treatment for her fatigue. Her Dr. has recently stopped prescribing HGH.

I was diagnosed 14 months ago with MS and have been taking Provigil for my fatigue. Do any of you with fibro find that Provigil helps with your fatigue? I am desperate to find something to help my mother with her quality of life. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Nice to have you here :)

I tried provigil and I did'nt like how aggitated it made me feel~ so I stopped it but wished I would have just asked for a lower dose. (did'nt think of it at the time)

My Mother has Fibro also and she was prescribed provigil and it helped her immensely!! She loved it!

After being on it for about 6 months her insurance for some reason (I can't remember why?) would'nt pay for it.
and I remember my Mom saying that it was very expensive out of her own pocket.
She could'nt afford it so had to stop using it.

I say its worth a try for your Mom.
Its horrible to feel zero energy everyday~
    Best of Luck!
