Got the below from a personal website. The person claims she knows a rhematologist that has 80% success rate. There is another med called Permasin? that has been study to be useful for people who have Post Traumatic Disorder Syndrome Nightmares. They can't sleep well because the nightmares don't allow REM sleep to set in.

His theory is that fibromyalgia is caused by poor sleep. Something triggers the fight/flight syndrome and wakes us up before we get the deep sleep we need.

He gives patients a drug called Mirapax which works on a particular type of dopamine receptor in the brain stem. Eighty percent of his patients get completely well within four to six months. For the other twenty percent he recommends the sleep study.
