I want to thank everyone for all the sweet prayers and good wishes while I have been struggling with my sinusitis. I am snorting sea salt in purified water and it is really helping a lot. I am also snorting colloidal silver to kill off any bacteria in the sinuses. It seems to be working well.

I went off the E-Mycin a day early because I believe all the meds were making me feel sick. Yesterday was the turning point and I am feeling so much better.

    Thanks again.

    Love, Mikie

It is so good to hear your feeling better Mikie. Nothing worse then having something other then this DD to make us feel worse. Hopefully soon your back to your old self again.

That is great news that you are feeling better. There was a report on our local news [Charlotte} last night about Red Tide in Fort Myers. They said that it was rare that it was there this time of the year. They showed them cleaning up all the fish that were dead on the beach. That was an awful sight to see. It was like that in 1996, when I lived in St.Pete. Take care. Gail

So great to hear that you are getting better with your sinus infection. Knowing the suffering with it for many years, I actually only had some peace since I started on the OLE and after the Nizoral treatment in the winter.
The antibiotics did not help me and I got back to getting sick every couple of weeks until I discovered that most of our infections are due to fungi.
May be you know more about it than I do, but just wanted to say that I am happy that you are recuperating well.
    Sincerely, Lucky

I am doing that also. I have a little bottle with disolved Kosher Sea Salt and Water and use it in my sinuses regulaly. It has allowed me to use less Afrin in Sudafed.

It's so ironic, how something that costs less than a penny a day works as well as these heavy duty Rx drugs that cost a fortune and has side-effects galore. I will try the Colidial Silver too, as my grandmother has used it internally to good effect.

Glad you are improving..Like Lucky, I have not had any more problems with sinus infections (had them every 6 weeks last year), since I have been using OLE and use a saline nasal solution, just to get out excess mucus and clear the sinus passages..

I really, now, believe it is more due to fungal causation than bacterial..as my problems reoccurred frequently last year when I was on AB..

Is the Colloidal Silver suppose to kill just the bacteria?

As you, I know for sure that my chronic sinus problems are due to fungi infections and I believe that some doctors are probably not treating their patients accordingly. Only an antifungal med will help clear up the infection, antibiotics will not.
Although I am taking my OLE religiously every day almost, I am very fatigued right now and my eyes itch like crazy and burn. It is either the ragweed or the cats my daughter boarded with us or both. Even with OLE and colostrum these symptoms do not fade away.
After reading something negative about the colloidal silver, I never was interested. As my doctor pointed out, I would need 6 intravenous immunoglobolin treatments which would reactivate the immune system and I would have to go to the U.S. for it at $8.000.00 a shot. I am trying to follow up on some board members who are getting this treatment and see if it really helps.
    Take care, sincerely, Lucky

I copied and pasted this info...i have taken colloidal silver before by mouth and up my nose to help sinus infections. It has worked for me many times. There is a skin discoloration that has happened for some from taking this but it is rare...it is called "agyria" I think. I have not had any adverse reactions from taking it before...and i have taken alot internally !!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully this MIGHT help some people. Hippen.......

    Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver reportedly kills bacteria, viruses, fungus and yeast and was used as an antibiotic as long ago as Roman times. Some references also state that COLLOIDAL SILVER may stimulate the body’s immune system or work in alliance with it. COLLOIDAL SILVER has become popular once more as people, worried about the ever growing use of antibiotics, seek an alternative.

Take a look at the many different and varied uses for COLLOIDAL SILVER in everyday health and hygiene:

Spray pet bedding and let dry

Dab on cuts, grazes, rashes, sunburn and razor nicks

Mix a little into your pet's drinking water, birdbaths and cut flower vases

Help reduce tooth decay, mouth sores and bad breath. Colloidal Silver is said to work by eliminating bacteria deep in throat and on back of tongue.

Add to human and/or pet shampoos to gain disinfectant benefits

Add to suspected drinking water when travelling or camping

Spray onto burns for rapid healing without scarring.

Use to sterilise any household items like toothbrushes or washing up brushes

Spray on rubbish to prevent decay odours

Use on kitchen cloths and sponges to wipe down worktops and cutting boards

    Dab onto acne

Spray in shoes, between toes, on skin to give relief to skin itches, athletes foot, fungi etc.

Add to bath water, gargle and nasal spray.

Aids recovery from colds, flu, pneumonia, respiratory infections and viruses

Eye and ear infections, warts and some moles vanish (put on plaster and wear overnight each night until gone)

Use with cotton buds on fingernail, toenail, and ear fungi

Spray refrigerator, freezer and food storage bin interiors

Use routinely in laundry final rinse water and always before packing away seasonal clothes

Spray plant foliage to help prevent plant diseases like mould and rot

Wipe telephone mouthpieces, pipe stems, headphones, hearing aids, eyeglass frames, hairbrushes and combs

Excellent for nappies and nappy rash.

Wipe around toilet seats, bowls, tile floors, sinks, door knobs

    Kills persistent odours

Rinse invalid's pillowcases, sheets, towels and bedclothes

Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics, Colloidal Silver is said to never allow strain-resistant pathogens to evolve

I used to be highly allergic to cats, especially, long-haired kinds..and hayfever was a real drag..but I was wondering if increasing your dosage of OLE would help..It has really helped me (knocking on wood) to increase to about 1200mgX3 day..I was starting to get some of the allergies back..

Although, like you, I hate to go off the OLE, because it has been so good staying on it..I am, always, looking for for another effective treatment, so tolerance will not be a problem..Boy, I could not possibly afford the shots you are talking about..Canada has such a superior definition for CFS..but, it sounds like you have to really look as hard, for good treatment..

    Wishing you the best,

Great to hear from you. Yes, when I increased the OLE today, I felt better. However, we have had extremely humid weather for the past days, which I cannot tolerate to begin with.
I am sure the cats have some impact on my new allergy symptoms, but they will be with me for a little while, as much as I love them, but I certainly am not happy about the burden on my immune system.
Our health care system is very socialized as you probably know which is good to some extent, but what research and available treatments or some drugs are concerned, I am learning we are sometimes behind. The reason I would get this treatment in the U.S. is that I would have to pay for it, of course, but even if I want to pay for it here (which is a fraction of the U.S. costs), only cancer patients have access to immunoglobolin as far as I understood my doctor. The same goes for mycoplasma tests, if I want the one Dr. Nicol's advises to have, it is not available in Canada - again I would have to be tested in the U.S.
It takes some new prescription drugs 2 years after they have been available in the U.S. to finally get approved here which can be terrible for some very ill people with some types of cancer etc.
The other side, everybody here has access to free doctor visits and hospital stays and some treatments like physiotherapy are free. However, my warts which my doctor froze are not free anymore, and I have to see a specialist who will remove them for a fee. Things have changed here also over the years, the healthcare costs are just getting out of control.
Thanks for your advice, Plantscaper, and I'll increase my OLE tomorrow. Have to get a new supply anyway.
    Best wishes, Lucky

Good to hear from you...and I vicariously enjoyed your listings of travel destinations thru reading your posts to Jen..I have visited Victoria, B.C., but have very much wanted to see other parts of Canada..but that will have to be on hold for now..

I was wondering if you could describe how the antiviral, Famvir, might compare to the OLE..I know you said it did not last..the positive effect..were there any downsides?

I kind of wish we had some form of national healthcare..as I have been priced out of the health insurance system, and probably now, would not be able to get any kind of health insurance..Does you system function, well, for more "regular types of diseases"?

I like pets, too, but since my dog died last year, wierdly..I have given up on pets, for now, and have such a lack of energy to take care of them..As a child, I was attracted to animals more than people...and have good nonverbal connection to animals...

I have come to some of the same conclusions you have in how people react to me and these DDs..peaceful coexistence..It is better for me to focus on getting well, and not being upset about their reactions..I try to live in a much smaller world, however, happier in the strength I have gained, from surviving these DDs.. I gain more from the natural world and plants that have no opinions about these DDS..

Hope you have better days ahead,
    Take Care,
