Hi all, as you know, i have been in the testing circus and am still looking at more as the EMG has shown a cervical problem in the neck. Going to have to have an MRI on it. But, the good news!!! I had my visit at the Pain Clinic, had a wonderful caring doctor who visited with me for over an hour, and understands connective tissue disease also. He prescribed a time release morphine at a low dose since i have been sensitive to oxycontin the one time i tried it. Anyway, after suffering since july i am so grateful to have been given something, and so far no bad headache or nausea, and i do feel a little better even though it takes a few days to reach a plateu. Just wanted to let everybody know as i have been posting about no help yet. I have a reason to be positive today, and that means a lot for people like us. Rose

I am so happy for you that you have received some help for your pain!!!! It is so debilitating to have constant pain. It soundslike you had a miracle to have a doctor talk to you for an hour!! Unbelievable for sure. I just had an appointment with my pain specialist for about 10 min. Makes me so angry. He has a nurse take notes and works from them I guess. He sounds as if he is going to try and take me off oxycontin, that has been my salvation for pain. Terrifys me to think of it.Doctors are getting afraid to give it because of the addicts using it. He gave me Effexor and it nearly did me in! Stomach all out of control and eyes feeling like I was stareing. Weird uncomfortable feeling. No more of that. Again my best to you.
