Just wondering what the FMLA was and exactly what the twelve weeks are that I'm supposed to be entitled to. Kell, if you could please ellaborate...or anyone else with knowledge.

    Thanks!

FMLA stands for Family Medical Leave Act. It is suppose to protect your job when you need to be off work for an extended amount of time. Used a lot for maternity, surgery etc. You employer does not have to pay you during this time, but does have to hold your job or one of similar type and same pay, with no repercussions, for when you come back to work. There are some stipulations though. You can do a search on it and get the specific criteria. Your workplace may have less stipulations, but they can not have more. Hope this helps. Lendi
