I have had FMS for about seven years. I have recently been dx w/Dysatonomia. Doc's @ teaching hospital in Chicago suspect a link between these two disorders. Does anyone out there have both of these?

I agree with Jelly. There have been several recent posts about this so just do a search on dysautonomia and it should turn up some info for you.

Neurologist who do not like to use the term fibromyalgia, are calling this disautomomia. Maybe because they discounted fm for so long and now that there is proof it is real. It covers their butt so to speak, yet they will not use the word fm. So now they use dysautonomia for people with our condiditons.

No that is false. Dysautonomia is NOT another term for Fibromyalgia.

    OI is Orthostatic Intolerance.

NMH is Neurally and NeuroMediated Hypotension or sometimes called Syncope.

POTS is Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
The above are often referred to as Dysautonomias.

    Fibromyalgia is a separate condition.

    CFIDS is separate too.
