Thank you, CactusLil', for your info on what "a friend of the court" means.

Now how do I find out if the attorney I call is a friend of the court? Is that the type of question that their receptionist or secretary would answer for me or can I find out from the court clerk? Which court would hear the SSD cases?

BTW, I am dealing with the Fort Worth Tarrant County Texas office of SSA -- I filed in Arlington -- but have been unable to find any attorney yet who is familiar with FMS or MPS and none willing to even talk. Thanks so much for the feedback. :)

I don't believe it is ethical to mention her name on the forum but I see you are in Texas; she is licensed to practice anywhere in the state and in Virginia. She takes fibro cases other registered atty's in San Antonio won't, including mine; in which she perservered after now 8 years.

email me and I will give you her # et al. Cactus.
