I do know that with myself getting SSI,I was told that if ever I felt I could go back to work that I could work and get partial SSI monthly. Acually I have heard that I could earn about $65 weekly and it would'nt effect the amount of my SSI at all!!I know thats not alot but....I see $65 times 4 being another $260 a month and I still get my SSI untouched. And honestly I can't see myself working more than 15 hrs a week at this time. Also I had very little income when I applied for ssi so I was referred to legal aid for a lawyer and they supplied me one free of charge.(so that might be an option too).I also appled for Non PA foodstamps, and got those for awhile.(it helped)roughly $200 a month.
I've heard too that once on SSI you could even get schooling paid for.???not sure on that one...I heard it more than once~Hope this helped some!!
