I was wondering if you originally had the EBV before the initial onset of symptoms and then whatever is making you sick now reactivate it?

When I first got sick, I was misdiagnosed with mono. A previous infection showed up, but at least three of four months later, I actually did have an active case of mono.

Thank you all for your help and good advice as always.

I was diagnosed with Mono back in fall of 1989 and then EBV in 1990. The worst lasted about 1 year then slowly thought I got better around the second year after diagnosis. Now about a year and a half ago I started feeling bad again.

The doctor is treating me for hypothyroidism and perimenopause. I mention to him the case of EBV and he just ignores me. I don't know what to think.

I had allergies when I was a kid. I got weekly shots and for years I had no allergies at all. Now I feel like they could be starting again. I have not gone to the doctor yet for the allergy symtoms. I just feel overwhelmed.

It seems as though we all have alot of this in common.

    Take care
