Hello, y'all! I'm finally able to post again and to read and comprehend what's being posted. I'm having a very bad flare and have been absent from the board for over a week, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. My nurse-practioner put me on a short course of prednisone (and Ultram)-that and my TENS unit are allowing me finally to function again. She is supposed to be referring me to a pain specialist-we'll see how that goes. I don't expet to see one so-this takes awhile around here. Meantimes, I've had a birthday-turned 42 and still occasionally get carded when I buy wine! My life-partner had a birthday also-41. We think she also has fibromyalgia but she hasn't been diagnosed yet. Well, I'll close this post. I've a few other concerns I want to address here-get some adice from y'all-but will read a bit first.

Boy this board travels, you were on p 4.

Happy belated Birthday to you and your partner. Sorry to hear she may have FM, s`pose you`re both in good company, not many of us know someone else with this DD to share with.

So glad you are back with us, it`s lovely to function again - and hope you get over this flare soon.

    Love Pat.

I'm glad you're feeling better, too, and that you are able to make your way back to the board. I've can relate -- I've also been flaring pretty badly, for 2-1/2 weeks now, and haven't been here much except to take a peek at a few posts here and there. I just started feeling a twinge better two days ago, so I'm going to try to climb back into the saddle and start posting again, especially since I went to the doctor today and have some very big news to share! I'm very excited about it!

Good luck with getting in to see your pain specialist soon. I hope that will help.

And happy belated birthday! We're the same age now (well, OK, I'm just a few months older).
