Just wanted to let everyone know I am going to the Neuroligist today!! I am very nervous...she scares me and my husband. Her office called on thursday and said she wanted to see me on Monday.....i have never been able to get in to see her that quick...it usually takes a month!! I have no idea what for but I think it has to do with my heated discussion with my family doctor and how our "free" canadian health care is failing me and perhaps a letter to our government about doctor neglect is in order....her office called shortly after that!! will let you know how I make out...

That is the way to do it. If you are not assertive with these diseases you will get run over by bad medicine.
    Good for you!

Well I am back from the big appointment!! I have to say she was very good and went through alot of stuff...she is convinced i do not have MS however wants me to go to the MS clinic in Halifax to cover all basses. She is also sending me to an infectious disease specialist to lokk into CFID. At the same time I am having Lyme testing done out West with the Wester blot testing....i hope this is all on a road to diagnosis!! Thanks for your support and i wish you all good health.

Good luck finding your diagnosis. It sometimes takes forever. I finally found out I have lyme disease plus four other viruses. Sometimes doctors really stink, haha!
    Best regards!

that is good she said probably not MS. What a relief. I am glad your appt went better than you expected. Finally my neuro agreed to see me again - I saw him in November after waiting months for appt.(this is in USA too) When my legs started hurting he refused to see me again saying he had just seen me(for head and neck). So now my Dr receptionist just convinced him I needed to have nerve conduction no matter what. Neuro's a world apart! Did you remember to go and vote? I have Canadian relatives(siblings). Good luck in Halifax whooo it will be cold there!
