    Hello,

OHSU is a big research hospital in Oregon. They have been sending me letters for awhile now on the growth hormone studies they've been conduting. This is the third or fourth letter asking if I want to participate.

I'm considering doing it because I think it may be going somewhere, since this is the fourth or fifth study. It is under Dr. Bennett who is a well known fibro doctor here.

Has anyone heard of any problems or side effects from growth hormone? They will test to make sure my levels are low before I can participate.

I know of people that are on it and have had no problems. There have been studies before claiming it helps a subset of CFS patients. If its a free study I would do it.
But then again thats my take.

If your growth hormone is low it may help your general well being.

There use to be people on this web site that took it and swore by it but I'm not sure they still post.

I had heard about the heart thing too. I have tachycardia so I don't know if it would affect that. It's a 6 month study. It is not the growth hormone that is being sold over the counter. They are also in the later stages of testing this for FDA approval for fibromyalgia.

I know at the University they will be monitoring everthing. I will probably need more information from them before I agree. We have a history of heart trouble in my family. That may be a deciding factor.

I injected myself with hgh for about 5 months, under the supervision of a specialist. It had not effect - good or bad - on my condition. But it was an expensive experiment,
